Due to some circumstances,Ive been to my Perry co land several times in the last week, have sprayed with Neem oil once, and Sevin twice, and after a quick look thru today, they are all over em again.

The Neem oil does nothing, the Sevin kills em,but seems not to have a lasting effect thru the rains.

Any other ideas, how often can I spray em?
I hate seeing them d@%m things eating on my trees.

I use Malathion sometimes but then I dont worry alot about it either. I see Jap Beetles as a natural process and want my trees to stand alone without alot of control. Research shows a heavier dose of Sevin seems to work best, 3 ounces to the gallon. Anyway, you can also get Merit in spray or granules, apply to the ground and it will kill the jap beetles while they are grubs. Theres also a bacteria called milky spore that will do the same. But is it worth all that? I guess only the individual can answer that. All this rain is going to wash it off, and the beetle can do damage before it dies.

I use Malathion when I can and I also use Astro. Astro works really well but it is very expensive compared to Malathion. I cant remember if Astro is restricted or not .
