I cast most of the balls I shoot, make loading blocks, and have made a couple of hickory ramrods for rifles I've bought that didn't have one.

Anyone else make any of their muzzleloading gear?
 
i've always wanted to cast my own. i've made deer skin mocassins, knife handles, possible bags, and pouches for my mz gear.
 
I'll have to admit that there's a great deal of satisfaction in making and using those items successfully for shooting or hunting. I've pretty much done all of the above as well as build several muzzle loaders from parts. I've kinda gotten away from it in recent years but often think of picking the hobby back up when I retire....Hopefully soon.
 
i would like to get back into making things again also. i used to be pretty involved with rendezvous and reenactment battles when i was in highschool.

Use to do the rendevous thing myself many years ago until they started making such a big deal about being period correct. As a matter of fact, I still have my old RK Lodge canvas tipi up in the attic.
