Mr. Bigs 6BR group reminded me of an experiment I did some time ago.

Where I worked had a photocopier that required a special kind of paper. When they ditched copier I scarfed up the leftover paper. This paper was sturdy enough to show a bullet hole the exact diameter of the bullet. I think I used it all up....I will go look again. I printed targets on it and it was kind of cool. I made the bulls eye look like this

so that when I could see no white background, that is the crosshairs and the space between the squares were the same width, I squeezed it off. It worked remarkably well.

I think i got a good fit on the 4th or 5th attempt. I had my VariX III up to 10X, 100 yard distance. Cannot remember the width between the squares, I used Powerpoint and Excel.

Anyone do anything similar?

Never have. I just print them off from an online source. But that is cool tho. Say when you're zoomed in at 10x the black goes solid with your crosshairs, leaving white at your zero point?

Yep. You can see your heart beat, breathing, the white shows up around the vertical/horizontal cross hairs. Center stays all white or red, you can color the square.

You can really tell when you pulled one because you see white just before you hear BANG.

This is a target in the classic form of teaching. Self correcting feedback.
