Maine Bear Hunt

I'm looking into taking a trip up to Maine either this coming spring or the following to do some bear hunting. Anyone that has been there have any advice, or possibly a good referral of an outfitter up there?

Bear Creek Lodge in Maine is an excellent place and is priced slightly below average.

Take your scattergun and check out the grouse hunting if you have time there were a lot of birds up there.
I spent a year stationed up there but was at sea for most of it. It's pretty country have fun.

I'm heading up there the first week in Sept for a fall bear hunt. Here's the outfitter that I have lined up. He also does a spring hunt on tribal land.

if i had the money this is where i would go, i think you would too if watched the show on excaliber huntn the backwoods. they appear to have highest concentration of 300 plus pd bear!
