It was a great day to be out deer hunting. Fifteen minutes after the first line of rain quit this morning, I saw movement out on the power line right of way. Two bucks milling around, and then 3 yearling does came from there into the field that I was in. Both bucks followed them in, lead buck limping with his right rear leg, and a bigger one with a scar and bald patch low on the back of his neck. Seventy five yard shot. He turned and made it about 5 feet and was finished. I love those no tracking required hunts. Deer #5 for me for this season.
