If its still a close game at the half Clemson will win.
If they survive the 1st half , they will win it.

Great game. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Clemson D a couple of levels up from Oklahomas.

I'd never predicted 28 first half points against that smothering Clemson defense.

Although I agree with that statement, one has to consider that they padded their stats against inferior opponents. LSU has played I think 6 teams ranked 9 or higher at the time of their matchup.

But Clemson is undoubtedly talented across the board on both sides of the ball. LSU is just a special team this year

Yes they are, winning out in SEC, steam rolling SEC Champ game and winning CFP games by two TDs plus, they made it clear they are the real deal in all settings. I'm surprised at how little attention this thread got considering how big a game it was (SEC vs. ACC) and all of the comments few weeks back about along the lines of "we'll see what LSU can do against a real defense". I'm not surprised they won, but I was surprised they squeezed 28 points out in the first half with Clemson blitzing and giving them so many different looks on defense. Kudos to Joe, Coach O and the rest of the team and staff.

It will be a while before we see a similar performance by a QB.

His ability to see the field and make split-second decisions on who to throw to, or to tuck and run AND where to run is phenomenal.

LSU has a great team, but they won't be able to replace him.

Clemson will be back, and may be the favorite to win it all next year.

I will say that I was disappointed in the Dr. Pepper finale though :D !

Watched maybe 10 plays, for some I just didn't really care to watch. Probaby first college chip game in close to 10 years not watched every snap.

Was a little late but I caught most of it. Can't believe and don't know how I stayed awake through all of it. That's too damn late to be playing football but that's another topic.
It was an entertaining game LSU just had too much. Pretty special season for Burrow, Coach O & that whole bunch.
Did anybody else feel old watching Randy Moss's kid?

So glad that LSU pulled it out. The first quarter/half had me a little shaky. But that Skalski targeting penalty was HUGE. That guy was creating havoc all over the field.

Heck I called it pretty close I said they would win by 21+ They came close!!!
LSU is just rollin and a hard team to stop for very long! Congrats to them!
(I'm just glad I ain't got to listen to the Alabama bandwagon this morning!)

See you in a tree, Ricky

I was for Clemson since Lawrence is from Cartersville GA.....but Burrow's story is amazing. What a year he had!

LSU might of just found their next QB. The Houston QB (King) just hit the transfer portal after deciding to RS this past season.

I think King will go to Arkansas... Briles being the OC there
