Yup, finally went bowfishing. Had a ball.

I've never been a stellar bow shot, but man, I had no idea I sucked this bad. I must have gone 1 for 20 for the day.

My buddy was about to fall out laughing because I completely panicked after I shot one (just like when I shoot a deer or turkey). I started furiously trying to crank that goofy reel instead of pulling on the rope, and the carp almost won that useless battle. :D

Anyway, thanks for all your advice over the last week. Y'all made it happen.

Kill a carp, save a swimming pool. :D

It is addictive, and sometimes frustrating. Bowfishing is the only way to REALLY understand what "light refraction" means. And wait until you start trying to shoot skinny little gar!

I just got my outfit. Maybe we can finally agree on something gil....

I've backed myself into a corner on this one, Tubs. Can't think of a catch and release scenario in bow fishing. :D

I think you'll really dig it.

Be sure to eat what you kill. :)

I think you need some surf to go along with your turf. Remember I gave you that buck last year? Well, from now on, I'll donate my carpage to the menu, too. :D
