Don't feel like the lone ranger, I'm sitting on one of my favorite stands on south Cherokee which just so happens to be on the side of a gated forest road. Guy just walked past me right thru my hunting area with me flashing the light. As we walked by he had the nerve to say good luck. This being a good person is really getting hard lol

A lot of they said goes around and some folks take it as gospel, if they could or would read the regulations they would be safer armed hiker 🤣

I was actually shocked at the lack of human movement at Cheatham yesterday. Guess the on/off rain helped.

Many years ago, I was walking/hunting....I was moving to a new spot. I seen some orange off in the direction I was headed. Stopped, turned around to head away from him. Went about 50 yards and ran into a couple deer that were following me... 😂
You just never know what deer are going to do. Stick with it!!

I saw one guy on TVA property Saturday with a orange hat, no vest. Carrying a rifle w/ scope. I haven't seen a TWRA vehicle up there in years. Half of the people don't realize what county they are hunting in and shoot does past the rifle cutoff as well.

At the property I hunt, on the way in, the road goes through one of those power line cuts. Used to be a guy that would park his truck there on the road. Just sitting there... hunting. If he seen something crossing, just roll down the window and shoot...from the road. Done it for many years. If he had been paying better attention, he would have noticed that the game warden moved in about 100 yards from where he parked. Busted that azz for him... 😂

Heck. I have that issue on private land too. Was hunting my wife's family's land. Here comes a neighbor. Walked 300 yards to me screaming I'm on his land. Said he owned 25 acres in this bottom. After getting him calmed down. I showed him the maps where he only has 3.66 acres. He wanted to call the sheriff on me, i said that would be great because he's my first cousin. He finally stormed off. We don't have a game warden for our county. They cover 3 counties. Very frustrating

I've had guys walk up and carry conversation while I was up a tree. Had one guy put glow tacks in the tree I was in. I usually have good luck when other hunters are up moving deer.

In East Tn especially near where you live is tons of public land where you won't see a soul. i Can't imagine the misery of hunting the tracts that get so much pressure

I wonder if there's any deer sign on the moon? Probably set up a pop up blind and some guy would walk by.
I know you're joking, but……..nothing would surprise me…some guy would walk by in moon boots saying that he left his stand there. ..😂

Same here. I hunt public quite a bit and do encounter others sometimes but usually never near enough for communication, and of the rare times I've spoken with other hunters it was always cordial.

This week all will be out on public. But the times of nobody knowing about TVA land and other wma spots are over. With all the online mapping. I hunted spots for years and never seen a soul. Now are covered in people. But they give up father quickly. So hang in there. It should thin out on a couple weeks time.
