IMO $0.40-$0.50 per round is a good price for 556.

For the 9mm- $0.20-$0.25 per round is reasonable IMO.

.55 is average - or was. Vista and others announced price increases starting this month. Basically said .556 and powders would be limited due to the "dispute" and contracts going to Ukraine.
They listed a rough increase of 5% wholesale, on average.
OP - if you're looking to buy, it won't get any cheaper off the shelves than it is right now.

I had some listed here for 50 cents per round just the other day. No one wanted it. I sold it elsewhere.
I use family firearms out of Alabama. They don't charge tax to Tennessee and that makes a big difference, I personally pay a little more and get hollow points for my crisis scenario ammo. Also, aim surplus is a really good distributor.
