Im in the market to finally purchase a muzzleloader, Ive borrowed a friends the last 2 years. I have done some research and what Ive found is that no matter what you get the key is to clean the gun religiously after every few shots at minimum. Ive been told that it would be smart to get a stainless barrel to help the life of the gun due to corrosions but Im not really looking to spend $500 on a gun at this time. Any recommendations for a good gun that is a reliable shooter assuming I do my part to keep up with the cleaning? Is it really that important to go with a non blued barrel? I would like to keep this under $300. Thanks for any info you guys can share.
