Looking for an end of a lg propane tank

Or large kettle like to use for a fire pit on a patio. I can cut the end off of a tank. Older 500 gallon tank has a good end for this use.

The head from a vertical 420 pounder is also a great size, and the bonus is that it comes with a stand (either the foot ring or the collar, depending upon which head you grab).

I bought mine off CL already cut off with handles and vent holes for $125. Works great and will outlast me. You might find somebody that buys the tanks and makes the fire pits easier.

I'm also considering doing this same thing with an old 100 gal tank we have. As a safety reminder, don't forget to remove valve on tank and fill with water before cutting into it

I've been able to find the complete tanks after they get replaced at different scrapyards around middle TN.

My son buys tanks, cuts the ends off, welds feet on the bottom and handles on the sides, drills a few drain holes and sells the fire pit. He and a good friend have built and sold quite a few.
