Looking for ammo-need help!

My hunting partner is having no luck finding some ammo, so I told him I'd put the word out for some help_

He is looking for some 180 gr. Remington Noesler partition ammo in .300 Remington Ultra Mag. Nothing else will do...

If anybody comes across some, I (we) would like to work something out to get it.

I'm in Bartlett (West TN)

Maybe he'll find some but that's the very reason I've stayed away from the superturbonuclearmagnum calibers. The deer that I kill with my .308, .243 and 45-70 are just as dead and ammo is plentiful year round.

Well he may have to take what he can get as Rem no longer offers that loading,still might find some older stock somewhere.

I'm sorry. I had read somewhere that military snipers routinely take out targets up to 1000 yards with M40 sniper rifles in .308. Shoulda known that wasn't nowhere near enough gun to do that.

I'm sorry I didn't notice the Remington and I guess I was having a brain block about the 180 grains. Bad day I guess. They do have some Nosler brand ammo in 180 partition but not the Remington. All of it's priced sky high. Good luck if it's got to be the Remington. I'll keep my eyes out.

His son found what he was looking for on-line (his son also shoots a .300 RUM) so they ordered 4 boxes_

He's happy to find some.
That ought to last them awhile..!

...and W C, thanks. I know other calibers will do all sorts of things, but my point was that when he's got the rifle in his hands that HE wants to use, he'd like to have some ammo for it with him. He's perfectly happy with that rifle, and doesn't feel the need to change because of a da*n shortage of ammo for this long a time. Frustrating for sure!
