I plan to buy my wife and I new crossbows very soon. I've read posts here and searched the internet for reviews and opinions. Of course, I plan to shoot / test the crossbow before purchasing, but I am concerned about Excaliber's video showing their string wear tests with compound x-bows versus there recurve technology. They claim that compound bow strings fail rather quickly, compared to the recurve x-bows.
I expect to shoot the x-bow often. So obviously string wear is very important to me.
Should I worry about the Excaliber report and forget about compund bow options?
