Dabbling in the idea of getting a utility 4 whr. Have to be 300cc or greater. Preferrably 4x4. Would like to spend around $1500 but have checked out some really nice ones for $4k. Anyone got anything?

in all honesty you will be lucky to get a 2 wheel drive that dosent need a ton of work/parts for that price,my 04 rancherAT has 2500-2800 miles on it & i couldnt replace it for 4K more than likely.i have enjoyed owning a new honda & think everybody should start out with a new machine.hope you find something,great deals come around this time of year so keep a look out on LSN & craigslist.offer what you can afford & you might end up with a great machine.mike243

Prob will hold out for a new or at least newer one for about half price. We'll see. Thanks for the advice.

Check around the dealers for new ones from previous years. My brother bought 2 Honda 250's for his kids last year and gave $2500 for each. They're 2-wheel drive with electric shift but they were 2007 or 2008 models that were still remaining. He and another guy drove a few hours and went home with 5 total.
