Black coyote on my lease in south MS...

Its on! Going to locate at 5am before work tomorrow. Hopefully he hasn't blown his coat.

I hunted Sunday am with a buddy as a blind set on the plot he was on.

As we were getting out of our trucks 600y away from the plot, we heard something walking beside us in the dark. Flipped my headlight on, and it was a regular coyote 25y away. Firearms not even loaded yet.

Hiked to the plot and started with prey distress, had a cottontail come to 15y of the call standing up on his haunches checking it out. Cycled through other stuff, no luck, although my buddy thought he heard one respond 1200y away.

The black dog actually just showed back up last night on a different camera 1000y away from the above pic. I had plans to make a set before work, but it was so windy when I got up, i just rolled back over and got the extra sleep.
 
No luck this morn. Tried to locate from 5 different spots in the dark, no response. Made a 25min blind set about 400y from where the picture was taken yesterday evening, no takers.

Doing double duty... was a perfect gobbling morning... not a peep.

Looking like tomorrow is going to be a 10 mile day hoping to cut a turkey track.

He has blown his coat now :(

Friend and I are going to go after him at night this weekend, but I think they are denned up, as they have disappeared from cameras past few days.
