I am toying around with the idea of picking up a new bow ,trying to decide what I want to try next , I like the thought of a 64" Super kodiak recurve. I have a draw lenght of 31" , but bear archery claims the S/K can handle draw lengths up to 32" on the 64" model. Or I could buy a custom longbow built by Byron ferguson. his shop isn't far from me and he said he'd fit the bow to my draw lenght. I am not sure which way I'd like to go yet , what's the pros and cons of both?

Dude, if it was my choice, no pros or cons. A bow by Byron just because Byron. Unless the Kodak was Fred's bow.

How long is Byron's bow? Is that the length you want?
I once ordered a bow and requested a certain ntn but the bowyer made it 4" longer because he wanted it to perform better. It was a great bow but I wasn't happy. I didn't argue because I got it at a bargain. Later traded it for a weekend Rio turkey hunt in Texas.
