I have studied the weather forecast and am waiting until sat. morning to go out again. I have seen zero rutting activity here but the most extreme hammering of white oaks I have ever seen. I am thinking with the weather change and the front coming in, they are going to really be moving and feeding Sat. a.m.

Be interesting to see if I am right. Might also be a day to try out my midday ground blind on the pond bank.

I hope youre right. it went from wide open activity to nothing moving here in Clarksville. the cold actually slowed them down here. strange..

Yep I hunted yesterday thinking the cold weather would turn them on - wrong! Fairly slow day with no chasing witnessed at all. Hoping things pick up this weekend.

I hunted wed morning and saw some deer and a little chasing but all the ativtity started at 7 on the dot and ended at 7:15. im going in the morning hopefully it will be a morning with movement throughout the morning. we will see will be in a tree Saturday to. I hope you're right bowritter

Your predictions are usually spot on in my book. I saw nothing but grouped up does yesterday afternoon and after dark I saw a possible 3.5 year old dogging 3 does in a field and he had way more interest than they did for some action. I am going Saturday morning with the intent of getting on a known doe travel corridor to see if the big boys are finally getting randy enough to start chasing. It hasn't happened in North Williamson yet. My luck will be that it will all happen at night and at a trickle like last year and I'll end up with a freezer full of does again this year. Ok by me :)

Light rain here now, I hope it keeps up until about 30-minutes before daylight. I'll hunt until the wind gets up and stays constant on direction. Then, I am done until about Wed., I think. Just don't have a burning desire to go. I kinda need to kill one or twomore does but I'm really being selective on what direction I think they will run. I have seen one buck I would shoot and if I see him again, I will. Shoulda shot him when I had the chance.
