finally got everything in house to assemble what may well be the most fun to shoot rifle I have had,,

rifle is a Rem 700 PSS action
Bartlien 5R HV 27 inch 8 twist 6.5x47 Lapua
AICS 1.5 chassis with 5 and 10 round mags
Atlas spigot mount bipod
Anschutz handstop and sling
Champions Choice adjustable height rear sight base
Premier PNW 1/4 moa click rear sight with Gehmann 510 .5-3.0mm adjustable aperture
Mo`s adjustable height front sight base with Gehmann 4.0-6.0mm adjustable aperture and 0.5 dipoter lens

when I get my dope confirmed I should be able to zero from 25 yards to infinity with the sights and ability to switch to a pre-zeroed optic sight with a 4mm alen wrench and 14mm box end wrench or just a pair of pliers,,

gonna try it out late this evening when it cools off a little,,

BTW,,shooting 130 VLDs and H4350 at 2975 fps

Your eyesight never fails to amaze me.

I cannot SEE 1000 yards.

Just being nosey, whats the powder charge? You lighting it off with mag primer?

That 130 grain, that max bullet weight?

CCI450 primers,,it is max load of H4350 42 grs I think I would have to look,,,it will shoot 140 gr Hybirds at 2800 but the 130 VLD is more accurate in this rifle,,it is like a 260 Lite,,maybe 75fps slower than a 260,,pretty much identical to 6.5 CM
I cant see well either,,but really all you have to do is center the blurry blob in the center of front sight and squeeze it off,,

Thanks for the info.

If I don't find some Federal 215M primers pretty soon I am going to run out. I have noticed you favor the CCI brand and was wondering if you have any thoughts on the quality and reliability of them. I have never had a 210M or 215M fail to ignite.

I have never had any primer not go off,,I like the 450s in these rounds with a 308 boltface and the small primer pocket as they seem to handle more pressure and shoot very well with H4350 powder,,in my loads with Varget and RL15 I get better results with WW WSR primers,,in my 308 loads CCI 200 primers work very well,

I used to shoot Fed primers exclusively but supply is so shaky that I have worked loads with different primers that are just as good,,
