Noticed several lone gobbler tracks while running traps yesterday in Wayne Co. We don't winter many gobblers on our place but hens never leave. Boys are showing back up a tad early it seems.

I seen a lone one yesterday afternoon while checking traps. Been seeing a group of 5 longbeards together so not sure if it was one of them or a new one.

I'm having a heard time laying eyes on any birds right now. Typical wintering fields are barren…I assume on account of the acorn crop this past fall, at least that's my hope
Getting groups of 3-6 LBs on camera on a few farms, and heard a little limb gobbling recently. Shock gobbling to each other on limb, then dead quiet. SW TN.
Saw turkeys feeding on acorns 2 weeks ago. Hard to believe that some of our white oaks are still good but they are.
We're in Gatlinburg and went to Cades Cove today to hike Abram's Falls. Saw 4 single gobblers and then 2 with a hen and one of them was strutting his stuff. My wife asked if I needed a moment.

I wish so bad that turkeys would come back to my area enough that I could regularly get them on camera or see them. I've had 4 turkeys on camera on 700 acres in 10 years.

seen big tom strutting yesterday morning
I saw 10 gobblers in a group last week standing in the yard of a house in a subdivision. There is a farm that borders maybe 200 yards away. I'm going to try to gain access, but it's a long shot.

Starting to break into smaller bunches in my area…had a pack 22 toms running together all winter but they're scattering out a little bit now and starting to show off.

I'm out looking today. Seen 5 strutters with 15 hens right at fly down, in a field, then 2 LBs together on another farm, in the timber.
