logging roads

Guys what is something that will grow on logging roads in the woods? Is wheat my only option?

Probably,but leaf drop will cover and choke out most of it,not worth it in my experience.

True That ! Tried it in the past with very poor results ! Have learned alot since then, and if your wanting to plant woods roads, you need to clear 15 to 20 yards on both sides of the road to open things up ! Basically if you ever seen a fire break ? that the size im talking about ! Also once you have leaf drop an option is a good old gas blower ! epending on how much you planing, that in itself could take a while !

Have u tried Durana clover, planted it on 1/2 my front lawn and is slowly spreading. Tried Whitetail insitute an.d red clover from the feed and grain and weeds kill both a few weeks after they sprout. The Durana has double the stolens of most other clovers and makes it own nitrogen

If you have a bush hog,or a mower and the roads are smooth enough,you could try that.Once the leaves are moslty done,run the mower over the roads and blow em off.
