Landowner #2 just called. I'm locked into what stand I am going to hunt in the morning. He said he saw a really big 8 in that area just a little while ago, one he had not seen before. Said he was at least three inches outside his ears and high. This one knows what he is talking about, too. He killed three over 160 before he quit hunting. This is the land I hunt very sparingly, only 42-acres. A deer that big is super rare for around here.

If I were a betting man, I would bet I never see him. I spect he is on the neighbor by now. That's where the feeder is and although I have permission to hunt that property too, I never have because there is no way to hunt it and not be near the dang feeder.

Steve, if you look out my back door and just slightly to the right, that is the place I am talking about. Maybe he will step in my yard. I can shoot him there :)
 
Got up 4:30 after getting up three times during the night,(about normal for me). Checked the weather and took my morning meds. Consulted with my good doggie and went back to bed. Just got up.

That is what it is like when you can go any day of the season. I just didn't feel like going so I didn't.

Maybe this afternoon or tomorrow but probably not until Saturday.
