Does anyone have any load suggestions for a Ruger mark II in 280 with a 22 inch barrel. I have tried 140 accubonds and 140 Barnes TTSX. Both shot poorly I tried several different powders and seating depths. Do I need to try heaver bullets?

WGK-Egads, first 280 I ever heard of not shooting lights out.
Our 280 is a T/C Venture, 24 inch barrel, 5R rifling, 1:10 twist.

Favorite loads-slightly over max, exercise care
52 grain IMR4350
140 grain Accubond
Fed 210M primer
R-P brass/nickel
COL is 3.360-->3.370

Also this load
52 grain IMR4350
150 grain Nosler Partition
Fed 210M primer
R-P brass/nickel
COL 3.360-->3.370

I know Dave it's my luck that I get a gun that has to be finicky. I love a 280 it's my favorite caliber sure hope I can get this gun to shoot.

The most accurate load in my .280 is 55.0g/Reloder 19/150g Nosler Ballistic Tip. I don't 'think' this is a hot load but work up from below.

No this is a Ruger Mark II stainless.

Barrel heat and ammo "quality" can be big factors in a gun that doesn't want to shoot anything you feed it. Let the barrel cool between shots and check the runout on your handloads.
