Ok I finally got some range time in with the .223
The loads I took are..
50gr NBT over 26.0 Varget w/ CCI-400 small rifle 3220fps +/- @ %95 and no pressure problems at all. Shot great. Definatly keeping this load.
60gr V-Max over 25.0 H335 w/ CCI-400 small rifle 3102fps +/- @ %92 no pressure problems and shot great.
But, the 60gr hornady SP's loaded exactly the same as the v-max had problems. Blew one primer out and bulged the center of 2 others. Didn't finish the last 7 rounds but it did shoot good. Not keeping this one.
My question is, why would just the sp loaded the same as the v-max act as if they were loaded so much hotter than the v-max??
