It's the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs....

Last day of Oklahoma deer season. I would like one more deer and would be thrilled with a doe. I just need one to show up. I'm on the edge of a small plot on a public WMA. The wind is good, the temp is in the mid 50's and falling, and if you believe in that lunar stuff, the moon is supposed to be overhead at 5:32pm. There are several trails leading to the plot and lots of tracks. I've got until 6:07pm CST to pull it off.

Good luck! I keep wanting to hunt Rios on that WMA in Western OK but I havent made it there yet.

Let's just say I won't have to process a deer this weekend, lol.

I didn't see or hear anything except birds and squirrels. This WMA has around 70 different plots all maintained by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Apparently I picked the wrong one to hunt on a late season Friday. It was only my 3rd visit to the WMA, so I'm still pretty clueless. It's an awesome place and I will be scouting it like crazy in the next few months to be better prepared for next year.

My girlfriend is happy because I got home in time to go out for dinner.
