In another thread somebody wondered where I've been. Took a fishing sabbatical for a couple of weeks, but much to the catfishs' dismay, I'M BACK! :grin:

David Liu's wife bought him a fishing trip as a present a long time ago, but we've been having a tough time getting schedules to match. It finally happened today. David lives in Florida and is a great fishermen. Not a lot of catfish experience however and he was ready to get slimed. He did.

We also spent some time drowning minners for spots and smallmouth. The spots cooperated pretty well but the smallmouth had hush-mouth.

It was a great day with a great fishermen... and I believe another "Catfish Convert."

Generally it will stay fairly consistent through October, sometimes into November if water doesn't cool off too fast. But late April thru early June is still may favorite time (for numbers).
