ground the BDL SS stock out from the RUM to fit the crazy bbl on the 25-06,, glass bedded it wth some stufff from Brownells,,put the jewel trigger in it and mounted thr 3.5-10x50 Leupold on the only rings I could find layin around thtat would clear the big scope and fatter bbl,,not even sure what they are,,came in a trade,,got some 110 accubonds I am gonn test with Varget,,just as alittle experiment,,,

I see that pic was taken before the bedding and trigger change,,just waitin on this wind to break a little to try this,,,would be nice if I can get 3000 and goo groups with this powder bullet combo,,,

that would smoke most 308 loads,,30-06 brass is about as easy to find as any,,and large primers can still be had

Outta shoot good,my Rem. 25/06 shot really well with 100 gr Hornadys and IMR4350. If ya want I'll look through my notes for the powder weight.

Dang, that's a big eyed scope! Looks more like a 56mm. Guess the 1 inch tube makes it look that big.

I have that same el cheapo Hoppe's front rest as in the Picture. Does good enough for me. I see these 'lead-sled' things and the first thought that comes to mind is...'What kinda wus would spend good money on that?'

I drilled a hole in the bench and have 20 lbs of weight wired to the base,,it is extremely stable

I just use the orange Hoppe's rest on a flat bench.

That outta do it. Ever thought about setting that thing in concrete? :grin: Seriously though, you can't get that base too stable. I've been looking at one of the lightweight Caldwell's I've got thinking about adding lead under the base.

I love my Lead Sled, it make a big difference sighting in my rifles & shotguns!!! I should have gotten one a long time ago....

I just see the lead-sled as a way for non-skilled shooters to get 'skilled' with money instead of talent. Not trying to be offensive ;)
