I bought some (a different brand) off Amazon a month ago and they burned up as fast or faster than the normal AA batteries. I was shocked.

Has this been reported or just an assumption?? I can't find anything to corroborate that they're being replaced.
The sodium-ion is safer, less expensive, lasts longer. Tesla is also working on the energy density problem(size). So, lithium being dirty and less available, I guess it would be up to you to determine.

I'm aware of that. The way you responded to the content of the original post made it sound like the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries were being discontinued in the immediate future. I was asking if you had read something specific to the subject of Energizer discontinuing. It appears you were making a generalization of events that may come far into the future.

I have read several article that suggest that lithium will be replaced. Apparently a number of companies are researching and developing the newer technology. Tesla so far is at the forefront to install in their vehicles.
