Is anyone spraying liquid fertilizer on their food plots and if so what are you using and how cost efficient is it?

I'm not sure? Seems as if all the farmers local to me are putting down liquid fert. This year. One told me it was just more economical, not as much waste, and with it on the planter, its injected right into the row.

Ran into a buddy yesterday in tsc, buying parts cause they were adding liquid fert to their planter too.

Injecting it into the ground or drop nozzles to get it directly on the ground is the only way to do it. I would not recommend spraying it over the top. There is a foliar feed liquid fertilizer but it is costly. Keep in mind that liquid fertilizer will eat up your equipment. The farmers that use liquid have enough acres to justify the replacement cost of equipment every 5 or so years. I actually know of some large farmers who are not going to replace their applicator and use their irrigation to apply it on land they can. They are going back to dry fertilizer on non irrigated land.

I have used liquid fertlizer for the last two years. I use Montys " joy Juice". It works great. Very economical. I sprayed it on a strawberry patch every two weeks for a month. It was crazy how many strawberrys where on them. I sprayed my clover plots with it and they got knee high. Easy to mix and use.Its made in louisville KY
