The Army sent me on a 3 week trip and I got back just before Christmas.
Getting ready to get back into the woods again and wanted to try and catch up on what has been going on, rut wise, in Lincoln and Giles Country.
Anyone have some info for me?

its dang near dead at my place. trail cams prove it as well. i really missed the boat this year .i always have my best luck around thanksgiving so that's when i put in the most hunting time but as i have started looking at the sign and trail cams my best week was the first two weeks of dec this year right when i had to catch up on every thing i had been putting off to hunt thanksgiving week. i had the best deer in a long time on my place this year but its looking like i may not get a tag on the big 8 and 10 i was so hoping to harvest. in saying that i am still not giving up till the last min of daylight on the last day

Don't give up. I'm still seeing rut activity in Giles. The whole month of December is always good. And the first 2 weeks are usually best on my places.

Thanks guys.
I was out of town for a week at Thanksgiving, to turn around and leave the following weekend. I might have missed out of a lot, but the season ain't over.

Went to Lincoln Co this morning.
Young 6pt was pushing a doe around, not real serious.
Young 8pt was just out having breakfast, like any other day.

Was in Northern Giles this AM. First time I could make it down. :(

about 730 had 6-7 does cross the field, except I went against my normal routine (sitting on the edge of that field) and was in a tree stand in the woods, about 200 yds away and had no clear shot.

I'm still seeing scrapes being worked and new rubs popping up also. Been a long slow rut on my property. I'm just gonna keep hunting hard.
