Returned to the hillside I hunted opening day this morning. The squirrels must've loved the cooler temps as much as I was because they were very active this morning. Had 6 by 8 o'clock then it got windy for a while. Only managed one in the next 45 minutes, but then it got quiet again and I found a small area that was previously unhunted and loaded with squirrels. Number 10 hit the ground a hair after 9. Think I shot 16 times total, which is still more than I want, but a big improvement over last weekend. I think I finally found the bullet I'm going to stick with. Only missed one shot that I'm 100% certain was due to the gun not shooting well.
