Does anyone know whom i could get to deliver a load of ag lime to hickman county ? The rogers group quarry quoted me $640 for a load !

Walkers Lime Service. He did ours last Easter weekend. Great guy. I think he charged us $30 a ton....or something like that.

Have you checked with your local Co-op?
I used my co-op i think they charged $125 a ton and $20 for a wheel engaged cart I could spread using my truck. Cart had about a 20 foot spread pattern.

Coop lime was $27.50 a ton last year. I don't know what it is this year.

I'm just a little west in Decatur County. Fortunately the Vulcan facility is only about 7 miles from the farm. Dad and I hauled and spread 6 ton of lime this last weekend and I flung it by hand out the back of the truck. I have the blisters to prove it. But, picking it up only cost $18.10 a ton. Only six more ton to go! Good luck everyone....

The coop in Centerville only has a 5 ton truck and with us putting out 30 tons, that wouldn't work. They were also high in price. But the main issue we had was they just didn't have what we needed.blountcountyboy said:
