License Question

What age do you have to start buying non-resident license?

Example:
My nephew turns 13 on April, 10th 2014. When does he need a license?? Just curious cause he's gonna turkey hunt with me some and I didn't want to be mixed up on age and rules and when to buy according when birthday falls...?

He will have to have a nonresident license (either Type 085 or 086) to hunt turkey and deer starting the day he turns 13.

If he is on a WMA, he needs the type 94 permit even before he turns 13 as it is required for all ages.

Type 085 or 086?? I buy type 073 which is non-resident all game.. Is 085 and 086 different? Cause he will deer hunt with me also. I just want him covered for all game like my 073.?

Nevermind scn... I looked it up. The 086 is junior annual all game.. $40 which I think is a great price for the juniors. Thanks!

He will need it at age 16 UNLESS he buys the type 086 prior to his 16th birthday. If he has a valid Jr. license, he gets to use it until it expires.
