Ok guys maybe someone can clear something up for me. If someone had their archery license and intended on using archery tackle all season, do you still need a muzzleloader stamp? And if you dont need one how do the bag limits work if you were to use bow all year? Thanks guys

the season are bow, bow/MZ, and bow/MZ/gun. all you ned is a bow tag and you limits apply to each particular season.

So, correct me if Im wrong, but if I used a bow all year, I just need my bow tag, and I can kill the allowed limits in each season as well? For instance, 4 does in bow, 1 in mz (in my area) and the one doe in rifle, along with 3 bucks! Correct?

Sounds right, though in Unit L (mine) you need a type 94 to kill a doe during gun season, even if its with a bow.

All this is correct, but I hunt in unit L and still to this day don't understand why you need the type 94 during rifle to kill a doe. I know its harder to kill multiple deer in one sitting with a bow or muzzleloader than with a rifle. But I see so many people killing 3 doe a day with bow and muzzleloader that they make it look as easy with a rifle

Maybe partially correct.

With your type 001 combo hunt/fish and an archery license you can hunt in all three seasons. You are allowed the season bag limit, but only while that season is in effect. For example, once the archery only season closes, you can't continue to take does against the archery season limit.

There is not an antlerless (doe) deer in the g/m/a season bag limit. It is buck only up to the season limit of 3 total for the year.

There are Special Season Antlerless hunts that take place during the g/m/a season. To participate in those hunts you have to have either a Sportsman's License (annual or lifetime) or a Type 94 permit (and all applicable LICENSES)that is required for ALL ages. In addition to the licenses you have, you will have to buy that PERMIT in order to hunt those county Special Season hunts.

Thanks, I suck at wording stuff. What you just explained is what I was getting out of it. With a sportsmans license though will there be a special permit to hunt the anterless hunt in morgan county or will that cover everything. Kinda different from original question but it just came to my attention

Seeing that you said you were in Morgan County which is Unit B. If you buy just you're small game hunting/fishing combo license and then just ur archery license you can Hunt archery only season killing 4 Does/day. You can hunt in the archery/muzzleloader season killing only 1 Doe/day. You can hunt the archery/muzzleloader/gun season but aren't allowed to kill a doe unless you posses the Type 94 license, Sportsman's license, and/or Lifetime license. Then you can kill 1 doe/ per day during the Anterless deer hunt in your county which is December 10-16. Also if you buy a sportsman's license then you can hunt with a muzzleloader or gun without buying any additional license. The buck limit is 3 per season. I.E. you can only kill a total of 3 bucks per year regardless of what type of season is in. As example you could kill 1 buck in archery, 1 in muzzeloader, and 1 in gun season. or you can kill all 3 in archery only deeming you no bucks the rest of the season because you have fulfilled ur tag limit on bucks.

The annual and lifetime Sportsman's license covers ALL TN licenses and permits (including the Type 94).

Incorrect!

The archery bag limit for Morgan Co is 4 antlerless deer for the entire bow season and not 4/day. The same goes for the ML season. It is one antlerless deer for the entire ML season and not 1/day.

sorry I read the table wrong. It is 4 during archery only and 1 during muzzleloader. Just wasn't playing attention because i'm use to the table reading per day for me in unit L and overlooked that detail in the Unit B table
