License Exemption??

Taking a guy from work turkey hunting for his first time and just want to double check I'm reading this correctly. He is hunting his father in laws land and he should be under the license exemption correct? They also live on the land

As long as he is resident of TN and the land is owned SOLEY by his FIL, he is all set to go. No joint ownership, as it states there in the text. Also, do not forget this step:

"Persons hunting without a license under a resident
farmland owner exemption must complete
and sign a statement attesting where the property
is located and how this land qualifies for a
landowner exemption. Persons may complete
the form in advance and carry it with them
while hunting or they may complete the form
when requested in the field by a TWRA official
or when checking game. A form is provided on
page 80 of this guide. Additional forms are
available at TWRA offices and TWRA's website
(www.tnwildlife.org). Landowners and their
children hunting on their parent's land under
this exemption are also exempt from Hunter
Education Certification requirements and blaze
orange requirements."

For clarification on the jointly part, say land is owned by your parents, and both are on the deed, does that knock you out. Or is it more of a cousins owning land or a partnership type thing.

sounds like the jointly part is non-relatives joint ownership.
