was told leyland cypress would be a good fast growing barrier around the perimeter of a field. any other suggestions to make a barrier from the road hunters? where to get the cypress if its the best option?

I've always been told that Leylands aren't very draught tolerant, especially their first year in the ground.

Re thuja, Where would be a good place to purchase in bulk?

i just ordered a dozen of the giants off ebay . probably order 50 or 60 more if they are ok. thanks

You won't be disappointed with the Thuja's if you got quality trees. I bought several of the 1.5-2 foot trees from anythinggreen.com 5 years ago and they are over 15 feet tall now. They grow very fast and require very little maintenance except for a little fertilizer 3 times a year. Planted a bunch more last Summer and they should really take off this year.
