Anyone fish this lake? I looked on twra page and found one called new lake i think it was but not really sure...I have a good idea where it is just don't know enough about it

Anyone fish?
Is it big enough to run motor in? Flat bottom
Are there motor restrictions? Trolling only?

Thanks

Yeh, it was called New Lake for about 60? years. I have only fished it a little with no great success. I did get a couple of nice catfish last year. I haven't tried hard for bream or crappie, but there are probably some in there.

It's small - 20 acres or so. A flat bottom boat with trolling motor works great. No outboards. There is a small boat ramp.

I know how to get there but my directions won't be all that great since I don't remember the exit number and road names. But if you are traveling north on I-65, take exit 30-something (I think), which is the Lewisburg/Mooresville Pike exit. Turn right onto the road that is right beside the interstate ramp and runs back to the south. When you get to a stop sign (about 4 miles), turn left so that you won't drive into the lake. (Laughing at myself here and glad that I don't have to follow these directions.)

Visit the bait/tackle shop and talk to the guy that runs a pond managenment business and the bait shop. He will tell you far more than you really want to know about the lake.

Cool, never heard of this lake... not that I wanted another reason to drive 30+ miles south, but I may have to check it some day. 20 acres is small. Would be great for my jon boat.
