I need a little Leupold educating.

I have tried to use (made in USA) whenever possible.
Used Burris FFII until they moved production out of the country.
Have tried the new Redfield & like it ok.

If I wanted to move up to the Leupold line, I have no idea which one/model would be a step up from these above models.

They may all be? VX-II? VX-III?

Any advice would help. Never owned a Leupold of any kind, yet.

Thanks, Blu

The VX2 and VX3 are both good scopes and are higher end scopes than what you mentioned. IMO, the VX6 is the best scope Leupold has produced. In the VX6, they copied the European fast focus ocular eyepiece, finally made a scope with constant eye relief, and finally made a scope with etched reticles besides the B&C reticle.

I've owned several Leupold scopes but have always sold them for other scopes that offered features that Leupold didn't have. The Zeiss Conquest is assembled in the USA and is quite possibly the best scope for the money. You will be hard pressed to find a scope that is on par optically, mechanically, and has the features that the Conquest has for the money.
