thanks. It was for sale while back. Got rid of my mossberg 535 tactical instead though. Would love a thumbwhole stock for this gun but can't find one

Hey Grizz how difficult is it to change out stocks on the 870? I've got one with a standard wood grain stock and thinking about swapping to one of those stocks like you have. Seems like I've heard you need a special tool or something.
 
It's not too difficult..... My stock kit came with the forearm wrench and the shorter bolt for the stock.

If you order the stock and it doesn't come with the new bolt, you can get them from Remington. As far as the wrench.... Baxter83 just put a stock like that on his gun and it didn't come with a wrench.... he borrowed mine.

If you are coming to the vous and have your parts, I will bring my wrench and we can change the forearms out.
 
You can add this to the list..... bought it today, picking it up this weekend.

870sm, 23" barrel, & thumbhole stock..... going to run a Jellyhead .660 and Hevi-13 3.5/2.25/7's with it.

Don't have a pic, but from what I see, I must be the only one that doesn't have a black or camo shotgun. Guess I'm old school. I have an 1100 and 870 magnum with the wood grain finish. So far the turkey's haven't seen my gun while hunting. Or if they did, they're not alive to tell about it. :)
