Darn Tough is the best merino wool socks I've used. My original pairs have been through several seasons of elk, deer, turkey and normal use and still look brand new. Heck, I wear some of their lighter options to work every day.

Smartwool makes super comfortable socks but I've had issues with them not holding up after a couple of seasons.

Sorry Andy, I just saw this. I believe they are XL.

After using the fish monkey gloves for one deer season and now fishing, I'm still a fan of them. I'd like to see them have a long cuff on them so they will stay tucked in to my shirt. I like them even more after seeing Jacob Wheeler wearing them 😀

The Crescent Sock Co in Niota TN has been making socks for over 100 years. They make a merino wool line that I've been using for a long time. They have an outlet store in Athens TN. They used to sell seconds with no visible defects for half price.

Rivers West hunting clothing. I have a parka and bibs from them. Waterproof, windproof, and WARM.
