Food Plots lespedeza in clover plots

Weed wiper. If it's the sericea variety you gotta really fight it...left unmanaged that stuff will absolutely take over.
My plots have sericea bad this year too. My plan of attack is to build an 15" tall weed wiper and use gly (late spring) and triclopyr (pasture guard) in the summer.

A little of it here and there (and by "little" I mean a single solitary sprig) isn't all bad because they do provide beneficial seeds for wildlife. Problem is, sericia just isn't programmed for a little here and a litle there and is super aggressive/invasive. Although I can never get rid of it completely I spot spray it everywhere along edges, roads, and fields. Over time there's less and less of it but I hate to consider if I hadn't started fighting it.
It is in very thick in some of our hay fields but it makes good hay so it has never been a problem. My problem is I didn't kill of the vegetation before putting in 3 small plot this year....and that stuff is extremely thick in one of my plots, existent in another, and third and largest appears be free of it.
The one where it has taken over, I have killed of the grass and kept it cut short. There is a decent amount of clover in places, other spots just sericia. Tomorrow I will spot treat with gly and try to spare as much clover as possible, then reseed in a month.
We'll see how it turns out in a few months.
