My question pertains to the legal shooting times for deer. Say you shoot a deer with gun or muzzlelozder in the evening during legal shooting hours and deer falls right there. After about 20 minutes, the deer cannot get up but is still very much alive and you cannot safely approach it to put it down with a knife. It is now past legal shooting time in the evening. Can you legally shoot the deer again to put it down? If not, what could you legally do in this situation or what should you ethically do?
