Anyone been out bow hunting lately? I have the hunt this weekend ( area 14) and just wondering the status of the rut . I am not looking for any spots especially on a public forum. Just wondering what Stewart county is like as far as the rut goes . I am about 4 hours away from that part of the state. Thanks!

Sorry man can't help ya. I've had better luck with the rut up there during the first quota hunt. That's the only trend I can give you on my part. Good luck!

I was there on the first gun hunt. I do not hunt it unless I get drawn, so once every 2 years or so. they were running good then. bucks were chasing all over. (area 13).
I know the first hunt always seems to be better of the two for rut activity. I guess this time of year you just never know! The right doe could change a man's day at any moment. I am guessing it has slowed quite a bit from the first hunt . The best activity in my area seemed to be during the muzzleloader, not much going on since.
