I am drawn for the LBL Peninsula, it was one of my option choices, since I didn't get Presidents island again....

Anybody know anything about hunting the area...I'll have little time to scout, will have to narrow down an area on topo maps....
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

You should have cause it is one Mike. LBL is not an island.

As for hunting LBL, it's different. You really need to just get there and scout. Keep in mind most all of the sign you will find near fields is made at night. It's a big place and some will tell you to get away from the road and some will tell you hunt within a 100 yards of the road. Deer are there but not easy to find.

If you are drawn for one of the LBL gun hunts, unless something has changed, you are assigned to a particular hunt unit. It is a violation if you are checked hunting outside of your assigned unit. They do it for safety reasons and to spread out the hunting pressure.

You need to check your permit to see what unit for which you are drawn. Let us know the unit and maybe somebody can give you a starting point to scout.

Hey guys- I made a mistake---What I drew was the Big Sandy Peninsula on refuge draw... I didn't get selected on my WMA choices. Is Big Sandy a descent place to muzzle load?
Thanks for any pointers

I think Big Sandy Unit is part of he TNWR and is a separate hunt than the regular TN WMA hunts. If that I the case a type 064 will be required along with all other licenses. The 064 is NOT part of a Sportsmans license and must be purchased separately.
If there is a Big Sandy WMA for regular TN WMAs then you will need a type 094.
