I've been going to LBL with a group of folks from another forum for several years now. It's a great time of hunting and meeting folks you've talked to on the net... nice to put faces with names.... Well sometimes it is!

I think it was Friday I went with another guy from that board.. I'm not much for counting stands but we'd hunted pretty hard. We were on the top of a gully, and I was calling down into it with one of my open reed calls. About 3 min's into the stand I saw one coming in, very red in color actually blended in with the leaves pretty good. He stopped with some trees between us... I wondered why my buddy didn't shoot (the yote was coming from his side of the gully) but there was a rise that was blocking his view. I moved my gun and lip squeaked... he trotted up and stopped again. I shot him with my 22-250.... I won't show the entry side... pretty gruesome... let's just say the 22-250 plays rough on the fur. He was a good sized male... (wish I had a scale) The yote did run off... I asked Glen to keep an eye on the spot while I walked over to spot the blood trail.... when he told me stop there was about a 2 foot wide blood trail I could track from about 40 yards off... he'd gone over a rise and rolled up.

Those are some of the calls I make....the blue one is a mini howler that I don't make anymore...from left to right from there is a closed reed... the bead is Ivory the mouth piece is Buffalo horn, the barrel is Concinna burl. The 2 open reeds have antler beads and antler toneboards... here's a close up pic with a different coyote.

Good looking dog and even better looking calls. Hope you make it back to the lbl next year.

Guys this fella makes some great looking calls. Not a bad fella either.

Trying to figure out who your are...

Hey Jeremy... I don't make the lanyards for sale. I can hook you up with a buddy who make's 'em though. Just give me a shout.

Nice work Brad. I almost went and was going to hunt a farm I have South of the entrance. If I known you were going, I would have given you a shout.
