LBL Cant believe IT!!!

Can't believe that I haven't seen anyone post on last weeks hunt at LBL!! I'm going up next weekend and was wondering how the 1st hunt went?? Anyone got any info on if they were chasing up there or not?? Would love to here what area the bucks are coming out of??

I got up there at 7:30 this morning and scouted in area 16 till about dark. Last place I went I found some deer. Found old rubs and old scrapes just about every place I looked. I dont think the deer are there like they used to be. Acorns arent as thick like they are here in southern middle TN. All the soy beans have been cut in 16 except one small field. Didnt find any gut piles or signs of hunters in the places I looked.

I don't know how thick they are in middle TN, but I saw more acorns in 16 8-10 days ago than I've ever seen anywhere in my life. Trying to hunt food wasn't an option, because there was entirely too much.

I hunted in the LBL hunt last Friday and Saturday Area 12. First morning was brutal cold and a bit windy. Sat on stand for 11 hours and saw 2 does at 4pm. Heard 5 shots that sounded like they could have been in the area.

2nd day was just a bit warmer. Sat on the edge of a ridge by a tree. Had 10 does run up toward me being pushed by a small 8 point. Just minutes after they left I had a small 6 point come in after I grunted. Also had a spike in the area searching.

Lots of deer running at night up and down the Trace.
