I got drawn for that hunt too. Never hunted LBL before. Going next Thursday and Friday to scout and do a little bowhunting.

I hope you meant this thursday and friday as there is a quota hunt next fri. and sat the 15 and 16 and you cant hunt the day before a quota hunt.
My group scouted and hunted a little this last weekend and like everyone says there are no acorns and most sign is around fields.
Them fields on the first gun hunt will be hunted to death I would say.
Where was soybeans at? We drove around area 15 and it was all corn there.
 
We scouted area 12 Saturday. Couldn't find any acorns at all. Found alittle buck sign but not much. Yeah the fields will get hunted to death. We have the first hunt. I'm going deep and hope one gets pushed by me. I may get to go back and scout one more time before the hunt. Good luck....
 
Im hunting in area 14 (not the area i wanted) thanksgiving weekend also. Have only been in Lbl a few times and never in 14 till last weekend. Did a lot of walking but like everyone else had said no acorns and not much sign.

Should be there on the 15th and 16th, I've been to LBL twice with my dad to deer hunt, first time I went shot a nice 6 point on the first day but never found the deer my dad ended up takng a doe on day 2, the last time we went passed on two does the first morning and later that day I was able too shot a very nice 11 point. So two trips seen many deer and so far me or my dad has been able too bring one home. Its my favorite place took hunt.
 
Some good thick woods and a great place to hunt it definitely takes a little work well worth the trip
 
I have saw several deer each time i have been.If it was closer for me i'd definitely hunt it more. Each year i say i'm going to take a week off and bow hunt it, but that hasn't happened yet. Maybe next year.....
 
Been hunting LBL for 20+ years. I've left empty handed often but never disappointed. Headed there tomorrow for 12 days!

Forgot about that. Thank you for reminding me. Looks like I will be hunting my lease those days! Hahaha
