Is there anything you need to look for that is a must have or an avoid at all cost?

Best brand?

Or is there pretty much no difference?

As you can tell, I know nothing about them.

I bought a cabelas northern flight last year on sale and i like it for a fairly inexpensive blind, it mudded up well and is easy and quick to set up. Only thing i dont like is that it doesnt have a zipper on the foot section to make washing mud out easy.

I have an Avery finisher blind. I have nothing to compare it to but I like it. During early goose season, I have caught myself nodding off on many occasion. May not seem like a lot, but like your mattress thread, I'm picky about what I sleep on.

I own 2 Avery Finishers as do several of my friends. Great blinds! Had mine over 10 yrs now and use them every season. Another good one is the Avery Ground Force.

Without getting into your business, about how much would one of the finishers run these days?

I assume they are waterproof on the underside?

I have had a finisher for a while and it has been a good one. I did modify the pin system though. Biggest complaint with the blind is how it sets up and breaks down.
I would suggest you go somewhere that has several models for sell and get in them and see how they go together and pack up. And how much they weigh. Get the lightest one you can because once it gets wet and covered in mud and grass they get heavy in a hurry.
I belive the finisher is close to $300 and they are not waterproof.

Found my brown finisher 4-5 years ago after season on an inventory sale for $150. I don't see spending the extra money for camo, because the first thing you need to do is mud it.

The bottoms are not waterproof, but I believe they make a neoprene tub that will allow you to set up in sheet water.

I think I paid $250 for each of mine.
Back then they had just came out and no one was selling used ones. You should be able to find one used for around $150 now.
