I love that WMA i live about an hr and half away and had too much to do this AM didn't even cross my mind to go. Hopefully someone will chime in. i am always iterested to hear from the areas that open early.

Why didn't you go? you live right down there by it.

At least I know it wasnt me. Went in before daylight came out after 12.Seen 5 deer total. 2 little bucks and 3 does .Does never got close enough.

Because there is always one like him everywhere you go. Probably was walking around in primetime evening as well.

seen a lost hunter 15 minutes before daylight this morning. then he found his tree..fifty yards from me...then coughed a while.......very foggy.didnt see a deer this morning. but did see five does this evening too far to shoot....but on the way home my stand fell off the fourwheeler bc my idiot cousin didnt strap it down good.car creamed it bc we could save it. now ima summit viper less.....as you can tell. im not a happy camper. this year is starting off as horrible as the last two.ayyayayaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to believe no one killed a deer this weekend at laurel hill

I think the deer count is low this year overall.

I'm leaving Tuesday to hunt the rest of the week. Hopefully get a few for the freezer.

Deer count has been low there for several years for several reasons.

I quit hunting it in 2008 or 2009. Man, back in the 90's sightings were common all morning long.

Awesome place and beautiful but deer numbers just aren't very high compared to years past.

There are some studs there though.
