Seriously he played one of his best games if not his best and deserves some credit. That said I'd still go with either freshman and roll the dice. I've seen enough of them that gives me as much if not more confidence running the offense as JG.

!Back to JG, when we went for it on 4th down at the goal line and he had to scramble from the pressure, I came unglued when he threw the ball away instead of throwing it to at least give one of our guys a chance. It was like he had been told over and over, "don't throw an interception, throw the ball away", when in that situation it doesn't matter. He just doesn't have a very strong football IQ.

Initially I did too. But, then the only thing worse than turning it over on downs on their 1 yard line would have been to throw a pick in the end zone & give it to them on their 25. From what I remember SC had that play pretty well covered too.
I do think you're right that he's had that drilled into him (not throwing INTs) & it's made him gun shy on a lot of throws. But overall I think he played exceptionally well last night & helped us win the game. At least as compared to how he'd been performing.

Our defense has really gotten better, shut the cocks out in 2nd half and they were 0 for 9 on 3rd down
