Wow. Thats a lot of yellow perch! I have heard they are great eating but have never had them. I cant imagine cleaning that many fish. We kept 30 crappie, 5 blue gill and a catfish one day last year and thats all i could handle

If you've eaten Walleye or Sauger then you've pretty much eaten perch. They are my favorite fish to eat. It took me two days to clean all those, never again! Lol. I never keep more than 12/15 anymore regardless of how many I'm catching.

Port Fourchon, LA

300 pounds of fillets combined with 100 pounds of jumbo shrimp fresh off the boat.

I've never actually fished for yellow perch specifically. What's a good bait. And what time of the year.
I catch them year round. They are either biting or they're not, never seems to be a in between. I catch a lot of mine on a fly rod but if I'm using conventional gear my best two go-to lures are a kastmaster spoon or a little jig called a slurpie small fry in a perch pattern.

Nothin big, just a great memory.
Burnham Harbor Chicago for spring coho salmon.
A perfect day.
Henry's bait and tackle at 31st and Canal, pork chop sangwich at the little stand under the El tracks.
We caught about a dozen that day.
The best thing about this picture is where we are fishing.
That grass on the right is the edge of the runway of Meigs field a few years after Mayor Daley made it inoperable and gave it back to all the Citizens of Chicago.
